The Socialive Recordings Library is a secure, cloud-based storage space for video recordings created in Socialive. After a session or livestream, Socialive automatically uploads recordings from both desktop and mobile.
Overview
The Library stores all your video recordings for you to review, refine, and reuse later. These recordings include content created in sessions, the Recording Booth, or uploaded directly to Socialive from a desktop or mobile device.
Sessions: This includes content created in a session, uploaded from a mobile device, or edited in the Editor.
Recording Booth: Content created in the Recording Booth can be accessed in the Recording Booth tab.
Media: This area allows Producers and Admins to view and manage the media assets within the selected Space.
Search filters: The Sessions and Recording Booth tabs include search options based on the user who created the content or the title. As a best practice, always confirm you’re in the correct Space before searching for recorded content.
Session recordings can be searched by User or Title. The recordings can be sorted by Title, Creation date, or by whom it was Created by.

Sessions
Sessions include content created in a session, uploaded from a mobile device, or edited in the Editor. To create a new session, click New session.
Once you click on a session recording from the recordings page, it opens in the recording details view. The selected video can be downloaded or played back in different formats. You can quickly select different recordings, sessions or clips on the right side.
To the right are tabs for associated recordings, which may include other sessions, individual recordings, or any created clips within the recordings area. An individual recording (ISO) is a recording of each camera's source or input source independently of other feeds and final output in a live video.
If one of these recordings is selected, they appear in the recording details view.
Below the recording details view, the title of the recording can be updated, and a description can be added. Make sure to save if any changes are made. To the right, the creator of the recording, the date created, and the duration of the recording are listed.
The following options are available in the left menu.
Send to Editor
Edit video, which will send the recording to the Editor for edits.
Edit video with Space presets will open the video with a Preset in the Editor using the Space preset. If no preset exists in Space, this option will not appear.
Continue editing composition, will open the video in Editor, picking up where the last editing session left off.
Send to Studio, which will send the recording to the studio to include it in a session.
Clip allows you to create a new downloadable clip for your video at the right length within the Recordings Library. These clips are then saved to the clips area of the recording. This is useful when you simply clip the tips and tails without adding branding. The original recording keeps its original length.
Share video, which can be sent to third-party platforms like Dropbox, Google Drive, and Wistia. This will only appear if an integration has been set up.
Download provides video download options in different formats, including mp4, mp3, and caption files.
The last option is delete, which allows the recording to be deleted. Deleting here will also delete any associated ISOs or clips that may be attached to the main recording.
Back to Library takes you back to the Recordings Library page.
Recording Booth
Any content recording within the Recording Booth can be opened in the Recording Booth tab. A new recording can also be added by selecting New recording.
When the video is clicked here the Editor opens in a new tab. Sometimes, the option to Edit a video with space presets will be available. Open with a Preset opens the video in the Editor using the Space preset. If no preset exists in Space, this option will not appear.
Once the content has been sent to the Editor and edited, the new version of the video will be saved to the Sessions tab once it has been created. From the sessions tab, the same actions can be completed as covered in the previous module since the recording will now be in the Session library.
Media
The Media tab allows Producers and Admins to view and manage the media assets within the selected Space.
To upload new assets, simply click "Upload new asset." or drag files from your desktop onto the page.
Assets can be sorted by Title, Upload date, or file type.
Assets can be deleted by clicking the asset and then clicking the trash icon on the right to delete the asset.
