Set Up Your Stream

LinkedIn

LinkedIn allows approved members and pages to livestream video content to a LinkedIn profile, LinkedIn Page, or Event. With Socialive, you can go live on LinkedIn using two methods: the LinkedIn API or RTMP. Socialive recommends using the API option so you can schedule events ahead of time and going live directly from Socialive.

Facebook

Facebook Live lets you live-stream events, performances, and gatherings on Facebook. Viewers can watch from a phone, computer, or connected TV. You can go live on Facebook from a profile, Page, group, or event. All live videos are public, which means anyone visiting your Page can see them.

With Socialive, you can go live on Facebook using two methods, through the Facebook API or via RTMP. Socialive recommends streaming through the API option and using RTMP as a backup or for specific use cases.

Twitter

Twitter offers easy-to-use tools for you to share your stories as they unfold with live video. Twitter's live video toolkit includes the Media Studio Producer, a flexible API for professional livestreams, and a one-touch option from Twitter apps. With Socialive, you can go live on Twitter with the live API or via RTMP. Socialive recommends streaming through the API option and using RTMP as a backup or for specific use cases.

  • With the Twitter live API, you can connect your Twitter account to Socialive and stream directly to it.

  • With Media Studio Producer, you can create professionally-produced livestreams with a range of flexible settings that allow you to:

    • Plan and promote livestreams in advance

    • Create public and private recurring events 

    • Apply geo-restrictions to your content

Brightcove

Socialive has partnered with Brightcove to provide a simple integration between the two platforms, making it easier for you to livestream from Socialive to Brightcove. There are two ways to livestream into Brightcove from Socialive, by connecting your account via the API or RTMP.
