Managing Socialive Spaces

Spaces allow Admins to restrict user access within a Space, ensuring the right individuals can access what they need.

  1. In the Socialive Portal, click the Settings Menu and select Spaces.

  1. Click the Space name to open the Space to manage users, integrations, distribution channels, and media. 

  1. Each of these areas can be set to open to all users in the account or restricted to a limited number of people. 

  1. Users - Here you have two options available: Open and Restricted. Open will allow all users on the account to have access to the space. Spaces are open by default. To limit space membership, select Restricted and add users. Admins will need to add users to a space to restrict Space access.

Guests will have access to the Green Room, regardless of space membership. Spaces are open by default. An explicit action to add users to a space will be needed in order to restrict Space access.

  1. Integrations - Spaces allow Socialive Admins to limit available Integrations per Space. A list of integrations is available for the selected Space, along with the options of Open and Restricted. Open allows all integrations configured on the account to be available in Studio. To limit the availability of integrations, select Restricted and enable the integrations you would like to have available for the Space.

Spaces are open by default. The Admin will need to disable integrations to restrict the availability of an integration within a Space.

  1. Distribution channels- Spaces allow Socialive Admins to limit available distribution channels per Space. A list of distribution channels available for the selected Space, along with the options of Open and Restricted. Open allows all distribution channels configured on the account to be available in Studio. 

To limit the availability of select distribution channels, select Restricted and enable those distribution channels you would like available for the Space.

Spaces are open by default. The admin will need to disable distribution channels in order to restrict the availability of a distribution within a Space.

  1. Media - Here Media assets can be imported by clicking Import Media or dragging and dropping files into the Media tab.

This area manages media for the entire space. All sessions within this space will have access to the media uploaded. All media assets uploaded here can be accessed in Studio by Producers to be used in a session. 

Any media uploaded in the Studio within this Space will be added to this Media management area. 

Spaces can only be deleted by submitting a request for a ticket to the Support Team. However, Spaces can be repurposed by renaming and updating access rights.
