The Record Internally option in the Socialive iOS app allows you to record great video content from anywhere in the world, at any time which automatically uploads to the Socialive library


This article provides instructions on how to record videos with the Socialive iOS app.


Prerequisites

Before you start, you need to install the Socialive iOS app on your iPhone or iPad. Once you have the app installed, turn on Do Not Disturb, turn off Portrait Lock, and close other apps running in the background. This allows you to focus on recording with no distractions and ensures a smooth experience within the app. 


Process

  1. Open the Socialive app and log in to your Socialive account.
  2. Go to the Record tab and tap the option to Record Internally.
  3. On the next screen:
    1. Enter the title of your recording.
    2. Tap the Settings icon at the bottom-left of your screen.
      • If you are using your main camera, you will see an option to turn on flash and to show the grid guides.
      • If you are using your selfie/frontal camera, you will see an option to show the grid guides.
    3. If needed, you can switch between your selfie and the main camera by tapping the switch button next to the Settings icon.
    4. Tap the Effects button (rhombus star) to use virtual backgrounds. From here, you can:
      • Select the blur effect to blur your background.
      • Tap the + button and select an image from your camera roll to use as your virtual background.
  4. When you are ready, tap the red button to record. A countdown of 5 seconds will appear.
  5. When you are done, click Stop Recording at the bottom-right of your screen.
  6. On the next screen, you will see that your recording is being uploaded to the Recordings Library. Wait until the upload is complete before exiting the app. It may take several minutes to upload a video. (If you do need to leave the app for something urgent, please come back and leave the app open until the video fully uploads.)
