Streaming to X (Twitter) with Socialive

This article provides steps to connect your X (previously known as Twitter) account to livestream with Socialive. A Socialive administrator can authorize X accounts as distribution channels within Socialive, allowing any user on their Socialive account to stream to those X pages.

Prerequisites

To connect your Twitter account to Socialive, you need to be a Socialive administrator in your Socialive account.
You must have a verified X Premium or Premium+ subscription to go live on X

Process

In Socialive Studio, click the X icon on the left-side panel under the Livestream tab.
In the pop-up that appears, click Add Account.
A pop-up window will appear. You will be prompted to log into your X account and authorize Socialive for X to access your account.
Once you authorize your X account, it will appear on the list of accounts you can stream to.
When you are ready to stream to X, make sure you toggle on the account you want to stream to.
Edit the name of your stream and select if you want to post. This field has a 140 character limit and will become the copy of your post.
Click Done.
Click Start to start your stream.
