Invite to Record is a feature built into the Socialive Editor that allows you to send a direct invitation to a teammate, stakeholder, or subject matter expert to record and submit a video. The content they record using the link provided will automatically replace the placeholder in the Project.
How to Use Invite to Record in the Editor
Click Create a New Project or open a previously saved Project.
For a new Project, select a blank project or start from a template.
Click the + icon on the scene preview
Select "Invite to Record"
Add a project name and select the user to invite. To provide that user more context, you can title the request, add a description for the invitation, and add a recording prompt for the Contributor.
Select if you’ll be sending an email now.
Click done. This creates the invitation and placeholder. If you choose to send the email now, the Contributor will receive an email with a secure link to record and submit their recording.
From the placeholder, you can copy the link for the invitation or cancel it.
Once the Contributor records the video, it will automatically replace the placeholder in your project, and a notification will be generated for you.
Tips for Successful Requests
Be specific in your recording instructions to get the best possible submission.
Encourage good lighting and audio; you can even include a link to our Recording Tips Guide.
Use the feature to collect video updates, testimonials, or last-minute corrections.
