One inevitable reality of video streaming is “packet loss”. Packet loss happens when data travelling across a computer network fails to reach its destination. It’s most commonly caused by network congestion.
With video, packet loss often leads to dropped or missing video frames, which appear as very brief pauses or stutters in the video. In the past, when a guest’s stream dropped too many frames in a row, their recording would be split, sometimes into dozens of files if their computer or network was under considerable stress.
With this latest update, packet loss and dropped frames will no longer cause splits to occur in guest recordings. You will see one, unbroken recording for each guest session.
