Going Live Now to LinkedIn

  1. Navigate to the LinkedIn custom stream page.

  2. Under New Stream, select Go live now.

  3. Under Create a post, select the profile or LinkedIn Page you want to stream to.

    1. If you are streaming to a profile, you can select the level of visibility you want for the post.

    2. You can draft the associated post copy, add hashtags, and tag members or Pages.

  4. Under Your stream details, add a Title for your stream.

  5. In the Stream settings tab, pick your region and click Get URL.
Note: Not all regions have a dedicated source in the Region drop-down list. Select the region closest to you.

  6. Copy the Stream URL and Stream Key.

  7. In Socialive:

    1. Set up the RTMP connection.

    2. Set up your broadcast.

    3. When you are ready, click Start Broadcast.

  8. Once you start the broadcast in Socialive, you will see a preview of your live video on LinkedIn's custom stream page. When you are ready, click Go live on the upper right.

  9. When you are ready to end your broadcast, click End stream in LinkedIn and then End Broadcast in Socialive. The broadcast will end, and the LinkedIn video post will display that you were previously live.

While you are live, you can do the following on the custom stream page:

  • Monitor your stream using the Stream health and Analytics tabs.

  • Manage your comments and mute commenters in the Comments section.
