Export your recordings and clips to MP3 and MP4 files with constant frame and bit rates. Using these exported files of your recordings allows you to effortlessly bring them into any video-editing software, incorporate the audio into podcasts, add audio-only to other visual slides, and, overall, have more creative flexibility in your productions.

This article provides the steps for exporting your recordings and clips into MP3 and MP4 files from the Socialive Web Portal and information about the file specifications.

Prerequisites

You are an administrator in your Socialive account.

Process

1. Log in to the Socialive Web Portal.
2. Navigate to Recordings. You will see all the recordings of previous broadcasts. You can use the search bar or filter by channel or host to find a specific broadcast recording. When you search or use filters, the results will show individual recordings (ungrouped by broadcast). Without searching or using filters, the recordings page shows recordings grouped by broadcast.
   
3. Click on the thumbnail of the Recording you want to view and download. It will open the recording, and you will be able to watch it.
4. Click Download on the bottom-left corner under the player, and from the drop-down, select one of the options to Export to MP3 or Export to MP4.
   Note: The option to "Download raw video" is the same download option that was available previously (without constant frame rate and bit rates).
   
5. The file will start generating (if it hasn't been generated), and it may take some time, depending on the size of the file. If the recording is 1 hour long, it may take about 15-20 minutes to generate. You will receive an email notifying you when the file is ready to download.
   
6. Once the file is ready to download, from the Recordings Library click on Download MP3 or Download MP4 (whichever option you selected in step 4) to download your file. Alternatively, click on Download File from the email notification to download it directly from the email, or click on "your recordings library" to open the Recordings Library page.
