Creating a channel is important if you have different shows and different hosts. This helps you separate your broadcasts and manage your media assets in a way that makes it easy to create your next broadcast. This is especially helpful if you have several shows with multiple broadcasters who will be delivering content to your Socialive account. Once a channel is created, you can repurpose it by changing its name, but you cannot delete a channel.

In this article, we will go over the steps to create a channel.


To create a channel, you need to be an administrator in your Socialive account.


  1. Log in to the Socialive Web Portal.
  2. Open the Settings menu (a) and click Channels (b). You will see a list of channels created in your Socialive Account.
  3. Click Add Channel at the top right.
  4. Enter the Name of your new channel.
  5. Click Save. The new channel will appear on the list.
  6. In the Recordings tab, you can switch Channels to find media specific to that channel.
