Broadcasting/Recording in 1080p

There are a few things to know about broadcasting or recording in 1080p resolution:

  • The recording of the broadcast will be 1080p

  • The guest's web ISOs are still captured at 720p (to optimize performance). However, the process to capture Local Full HD ISOs (in the Green Room) remains the same.

  • Pre-recorded videos can be 1080p

  • Your existing graphics will need to be resized to fit the new resolution. You can resize your graphics within Studio using these instructions.

Streaming to Third-Party Platforms in 1080p

LinkedIn, Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, and Twitch support 1080p broadcasts. However, there are a few limitations to this:

  • Feeds sent via RTMP are subject to any limitations on the player you deliver content to.

  • If you send a 1080p feed to a player that doesn't support 1080p broadcasts, you will NOT get an error message in Socialive.
