In the Green Room, you have an option to locally record your video feed, creating a recording that is not impacted by WiFi fluctuation, in addition to the ISO recording that automatically saves. A producer may ask that you create a local recording when your connection is not optimal during a broadcast, affecting the quality of the broadcast. This article provides information on how to access your local recordings once they are downloaded.
When you stop recording your video feed in the Green Room, a pop-up will appear. Within this pop-up, you can watch the recording, delete it or download it.
When you click Download, the recording will start downloading to your computer. The file will be saved to your browser's download folder. When the download is complete, you will see another pop-up that reads "Download complete," along with the name of the video/file.
To find the video on your computer:
In macOS, open Finder and click Downloads on the left panel. The video should appear at the top. If not, search for the video using the name of the file.
In Windows, open File Explorer and click Downloads on the left panel. The video should appear at the top. If not, search for the video using the name of the file.
If you do not know where your Downloads folder is:
In Google Chrome, go to Settings > Downloads and click the option to Show in Folder to open the file recording from the Downloads folder.
In Microsoft Edge, go to Settings > Downloads, and click on the folder icon to Open the Downloads Folder.
