Graphic overlays are a great way to enhance the viewing experience of your broadcast - whether that be by identifying the talent appearing on screen, prompting your audience with calls-to-action, or diversifying the flow of the broadcast with full-screen title cards.

In this article, we will go over the following topics:

Process

Supported Image Size and Formats

We currently support the following file formats for Graphics: PNG, JPEG, and GIF. We also recommend following the recommended image sizes:

  • For full-width lower thirds: 1280 x 150px

  • For smaller watermarks (e.g., logos, corner bugs, etc.): 100 x 100px

  • For full-screen overlays: 1280 x 720px

Uploading a Graphic

  1. In Socialive Studio, open the Graphics panel at the bottom of the screen, underneath the Preview section.

  2. Click the Upload (cloud) icon at the top-right corner of the panel and select an image from your computer.

  3. Optionally, make fine-tuned adjustments to the position and opacity of the graphic under the Configure menu. You can also set a hotkey to add or remove the graphic quickly during production. Check the video below to learn how to configure your graphics.

Adding a Graphic to a Scene

  1. First, build out your Scene. For more information, check out the article on Getting Started With Scenes.

  2. In the Graphics panel at the bottom of the screen, underneath the Preview section, click the Graphic you want to add to the Scene. You can add multiple graphics in a Scene.

  3. The Scene will be automatically saved and you can view all of your Scenes in the Scenes Panel at the top of the Studio.

Removing a Graphic from a Scene

  1. From the Scenes Panel at the top of the studio, select the Scene you want to remove the graphic from.

  2. In the Graphics panel at the bottom of the screen, underneath the Preview section, click the Graphic you want to remove from the Scene. You can remove multiple (if not all) Graphics in a Scene.

  3. The Scene will be automatically saved and you can view all of your Scenes in the Scenes Panel at the top of the Studio.
