All new broadcasts and guest recordings will be captured at a Constant Frame Rate (CFR) instead of Variable Frame Rate (VFR).

While most video player apps and programs (like VLC or Quicktime) can play variable frame rate video without issue, most video editing applications are designed for constant frame rate video. With VFR footage, the audio and video can drift out of sync during the editing process, presenting obstacles in post-production.

With this latest update, all Socialive streams are recorded in the cloud at a constant frame rate.

Note: Local recordings from web guests using the Record me option will still be variable frame rate.
