In this article, we will go over the following topics:

What is SSO?

Single Sign-On (SSO) is an authentication process that allows you to use a single set of credentials to log in to several different applications, including Socialive. SSO provides an integrated login experience and enhanced security.

Single Sign-On:

  • Reduces Support Calls - Users with just one password to access all their applications will not require assistance as often.

  • Improves Security - You can enforce your company’s password requirements, multi-factor authentication, and password reset procedures.

  • Reduces Password Fatigue - Since users only need to remember one password for multiple applications, they are more likely to create a stronger (harder to guess) password.

What Makes Socialive’s SSO More Secure?

Socialive provides an extra level of security with SSO as the implementation process is not automated; it requires two SSO engineers – one from your organization and one from Socialive. We currently do not support end-users setting up SSO on their own.

Implementation Process

You will need to provide a metadata XML file containing the user login information (email addresses are required).

The first step is to set up an implementation call between your SSO engineer and a Socialive SSO engineer. During the meeting, there will be a staging metadata exchange with the XML files from your and Socialive’s side, where we will agree on the assertion format list.

Once the exchange is complete, we will test the implementation on a staging environment before releasing it to production.

The entire implementation process may take between 15 to 30 minutes.

Getting SSO for Your Account

SSO is available as an add-on to your Enterprise Plan. Contact your Customer Success Manager for more information on upgrading your account.

If you do not have an assigned Customer Success Manager, contact Socialive Support via Live Chat or email at
